Sweet Tooth
2025 Dir. Abby Watkinson
A short film about a bakery owner's past coming back to haunt her. In addition to making music to reflect the tense and eerie atmosphere of the film, I also had the challenge of creating music for a cheesy 50s advert that appears after the opening scene. This pushed me out of my comfort zone as creating an upbeat "jingle" type song isn't anything I have done before but I ended up having a lot of fun with it.

The Mess You Leave
2023 Dir. Mia Jones
A short black and white silent film where the plot is up to viewer interpretation, meaning that the music was going to be the drive of the emotion. The director's only requirements were that it would be inspired by the Jane Eyre (2011) soundtrack, and have a heavy focus on piano. I thoroughly enjoyed creating the music for this film, and I think this is some of my best work to date.

Self Portrait
2023 Dir. George Carter
A short film where a girl slowly loses her mind over her self image while painting. The director wanted a simple score only using piano, and have a theme that repeats and changes throughout to show the girl's change in emotion. So I created a simple repeating eight bar melody and accompaniment that had small changes in harmony, intervals, speed and rhythm that grew more intense and dissonant towards the end.

My Brave Face
2023 Dir. Harrison Jones
A short black and white film where a girl meets a mysterious man and offers to deliver a parcel for him. This was the first short film I worked on outside of my music degree so I was very excited to be involved. The director wanted an acoustic score, so I used a combination of piano, cello, and guitar to create some peaceful tracks. Due to there being a fair amount of dialogue I didn't want to overcrowd the sound of the film, so I composed a score that would sit in the background and add atmosphere but not distract from the story.

Heretic
2023 Dir. Jacob Addico
A short film created as part of a film masters degree, where a tormented soul is ushered into a cult by a women promising him of a better life. The writing process for this film was a little different to what I usually do, as the director asked me to create various tracks which he would then separate out the individual stems and use as he pleases; almost like creating a soundpack for producers to use. This was a very flexible and creative way of working that I will definitely be inspired to use in the future.
